Noorusami Tamil Movie Review: A Wedding Journey Longer Than the Wedding Noorusami is a rural family drama written and directed by Sasi. The film is inspired by a real-life story in which Selvi remarried Elumalai in 2019. While the subject of remarriage and social acceptance has strong emotional potential, the film takes its own sweet time to reach its destination, making the audience feel every step of Selvi's long journey. Swasika plays Selvi, a single mother raising two sons under difficult circumstances. She delivers a sincere performance and carries much of the film on her shoulders. Her character faces challenges from society, family members, and almost everyone around her. At times, it feels as if the entire village has nothing better to do than discuss Selvi's personal life.
