N4 Movie Synopsis:

Negligence is at the bottom of all decays. What happens when a group of youth's negligent act affects an innocent family? N4 explains the answer.

N4 Movie review: 

A solid crime thriller that captures an inequitable incident of an innocent fisherman's family. The story of N4 is set in the areas of Kasimedu, Chennai district.  The film starts off by showing the visuals of a happily living fisherman's family, Kannamaa (Vadivukkarasi) being the guardian of four children, Soundarya (Gabriella), Abinaya (Vinusha), Surya (Michael Thangadrai) and Karthi (Afsal Hameed) who were rescued from an orphanage. 

The film beautifully captured the love and affection between two couples Soundarya, Surya and Abinaya, Karthi. Abinaya is introduced as a mute girl. Later, Kannama's husband joins them back, thus closing the loop of a happy family.

On one fine day, a conflict arises between Kannama's sons and the owner of a boat for not giving them the right stipend. The owner threatens the family, this incident is followed by a scene where the two sons are not returning back home after fishing. This increased the curious feeling among the audience, but nothing went wrong.

Soon, what looks like a regular day for the couples becomes a nightmare. Abinaya is shot by a bullet from nowhere. She is then admitted to the ICU in a critical state. 

 Parallely, we also get introduced to Fatima (Anupama Kumar) a loyal and soft hearted inspector of N4 station and Vijay (Akshay Kamal), a notorious college student spending his time with his group of friends in drinking and taking drugs on the shores of Kasimedu most of the time. 

Surya notices someone entering into the ICU and then finds out who shot Abinaya after chasing one of Vijay's friends. At the same time, Fatima's son was also in a critical condition due to a neurological disorder and she was in need of financial help for his recovery. Vijay's girl friend Swathi (Pragya Nagra) had made arrangements for a criminal lawyer to rescue him out of this issue. Since Fatima was mentally upset, she is distracted by another police officer who follows unlawful method.

At last, the case was taken care by the unlawful police officer. He arrests Soundarya and Karthi for a fake black money bag. They both escape from the cell with the help of Surya and on meeting Fatima, it is known that Swathi is in danger. Surya tries to help Swathi, but the film concludes with Vijay's tragic death with the same bullet shot as his love Abinaya.

The performance of the actors is very good and each has given what its role demands. The film sets the right mood with the work of the Cinematographer. Music by Balasubramanian was apt to the location of Kasimedu.

Director Lokesh Kumar does justice, making the film worth a watch.
