Rotary Club of Madras Cosmos Hosts “Paadu Nilaave” - A Musical Tribute to S.P. Balasubramanyam, Powered By Express Avenue Group

 The Rotary Club of Madras Cosmos successfully hosted *Paadu Nilaave*, a musical tribute to the legendary singer S.P. Balasubramanyam, to celebrate the spirit of Madras Day at the historic Egmore Museum. The event was a night of nostalgia, melody & community spirit, drawing music lovers from across the city.

The event was made possible with the generous support of the Prime Sponsor, Express Avenue Group & E Residences - Luxury Apartments & Designer Sky Villas, and contribution of their Gift Partners, Fasta Pizza - Love at First Bite & The Palomar By Crossway.

The evening was graced by the presence of *District Governor Mahaveer Bothra* as the Chief Guest. The event also had the honor of welcoming *Mr. Nandakumar, IRS* & *Pediatrician & husband of talented Sujatha Mohan, Dr. Krishna Mohan* who lent their support to the cause of the event. Furthermore, the evening was also attended by renowned Indian figures like the King of Photography, Iqbal Mohamed & Radio One Blaze for the International Icon Season 3 contestant, Kanishka Anand. Their presence added an extra touch of star power to the event, further elevating the night’s significance.

In her address, the Club Presiden, Rtn. Radhika Dhruv, highlighted the significance of the event: “*Paadu Nilaave* is not just a celebration of music; it’s a celebration of community & purpose. We are here to honor the timeless legacy of S.P. Balasubramanyam & to contribute to a cause that will uplift the weaker sections of our schools.

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our dedicated Club Members—Past President Rtn. C Sathish Kumar, who was pivotal in helping us achieve our fundraising goal; Rtn. Mani & Ann Manju, along with the immensely talented celebrity playback singers Vinod Venugopal & Reshmi, who performed and entertained us all without any charges.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge the tremendous effort of Club Secretary, Rtn. Dr. Dhanasekar, Rtn. Mani & Rtn. Adarsh Betala, who worked tirelessly in the last few days to bring this show to life. Their hard work & dedication are truly appreciated by all of us."

The highlight of the evening was the Video Karaoke, which took the audience on a nostalgic journey through S.P. Balasubramanyam’s iconic songs. Attendees expressed their delight at how real and evocative the videos felt, bringing back cherished memories.

The performers of the evening, who graciously performed for free in support of the cause, received a standing ovation from the audience for their remarkable talent and selfless dedication. The proceeds from the event will be utilized to enhance the infrastructure and facilities at the Government Higher Secondary School, Thiruninvarur, focusing on improving sanitation, adding classrooms, and creating better learning environments for the students.

This event is a testament to the Rotary Club of Madras Cosmos's commitment to "Service Above Self," demonstrating how music & community can come together to make a lasting impact.
