The central plot builds tension effectively, with the gang’s relentless attempts to kill Kanakku creating a sense of urgency and fear. This external threat is balanced with an emotional flashback, where Kanakku’s love story is revealed. His deep bond with his lover becomes a powerful reason for his choices and the circumstances that led to his imprisonment. This backstory adds emotional weight to the action-driven narrative.

Udaya delivers a strong performance as Kanakku, portraying the character’s aggression and emotional depth with conviction. He handles the intense scenes well, showing both toughness and vulnerability. Jhanvika, who plays his love interest, brings a graceful screen presence and looks beautiful in her role. Their chemistry adds warmth to the otherwise gritty storyline.

Another highlight is Ajmal, a familiar face in Tamil cinema, who joins the cast in a supporting role. His performance is notable, and he seems to be working toward securing more lead roles in the future. Comedian Yogi Babu adds much-needed comic relief. His timing and presence offer light-hearted moments, giving the audience some relief from the tense plot.

Director Prabhu Srinivas keeps the pace tight, while Naren Balakumar’s music supports the emotional and thrilling moments well. The background score adds tension during chase scenes and enhances the emotional beats in the flashbacks. Overall, Accused is a gripping film that balances suspense, action, and emotion, backed by honest performances and solid direction.
