Maasoom Shankar- The Anastasia Steele of south cinema 

Actress Maasoom Shankar as French woman Clara in Santhanam's DD Returns has been winning hearts. The Delhi lass has been gaining southern filmmakers' attention with her latest video interview that went viral on the internet. Maasoom, as a part of DD Returns promo, was asked to tear up by the anchor on the spot. Without batting an eye, the actress without glycerine broke down into tears and floored the viewers. The video has received over 2 million views and counting. 

Known for her personality and fashion quotient, a wide range of audience in the video have mentioned that Maasoom should reprise the character of  Anastasia Steele played by Dakota Johnson in 50 Shades of Grey. Maasoom forayed into the south with Aari's Nagesh Thiraiyarangam in lead role followed by 90ML, Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale, Teddy and Payanigal Gavanikkavum before DD Returns. "I not only believe in being a part of Tamil cinema. There is a Tamilian soul in me I feel, which is why I also made it a point to learn Tamil and have been proficient enough in dubbing for my roles. I believe that it is an injustice to act without knowing the language," said Masoom. 

She is not only an on screen daredevil. She lets her adrenaline pump on race circuits and has tried her hands in Chennai and Hyderabad race circuits with different cars. In addition to the same, she practices Martials Arts to ace any physical challenges that comes her way. Masoom is all set to conquer hearts in Telugu as well. A major announcement is brewing. And.... she has dubbed for her role in Telugu too.
