College
Road Movie Review:
In the direction of Jai Amar Singh, the film “College
Road” is about a downtrodden village guy’s pitiful life. The actors Kabali
Linesh, Monica Chinna Kotla, Ananth Nag, Bommu Lakshmi, Akshai Kamal, and
Adavadi Ansar were prominent eccentrics. The music was composed by Ofro. The
first half was engaging with a gang of guys who were enjoying their college
life. Among them, Ajay (Linesh) exposed him as a rich guy and his goal was to
complete his project on cybercrime (especially in the banking sector). Now a
group of people was looting the bank money. In this scenario, Ajay was the
eyewitness for the robbery case. The cops were starting to interrogate the
suspected people. Unfortunately, the clues were getting strong and they were
about to near the robbers.
In the second half, “College Road” reveals the real
face of Ajay. The film gets serious about the guy Ajay, his real life was in
the village, struggling to get a loan from the banks. Ajay’s college friend
Kiran and his cousin all were friends. At one point, Kiran gets an affair with
Ajay. But the double-hearted smart Ajay avoids her love proposal. The climax
explains why Ajay avoided Kiran and his village friends and city friend who
were helping him and what happens to Ajay in the film “College Road”.
The director has chosen the firm concept of the poor
students’ struggles and the screenplay directing in a distinctive path after
the break. The actor Linesh had been flourishing by his characters. Even he had
done many small characters after the film Kabli, which is an immense deviation
for him. In the friend character, Ananth Nag gives an adequate performance. The
music was quite okay in the film. Overall, a good attempt by the film “College
Road” team.
