Varisu Movie Review:
Vijay’s upcoming film, Varisu gives great expectations
to the Thalapathy audiences. As it is a family entertainment film, it is a
one-man show though with enormous co-artists engaged in the Varisu. The actors
are R. Sarathkumar (Rajendran, Vijay's father), Jayasudha ( Sudha Vijay's
mother), Rashmika Mandanna (Divya), Prabhu (Rajendran’s family doctor), Shaam
and Srikanth (Elder Brothers to Vijay), Prakash Raj (Jayaprakash) and Yogi Babu
(Kicha). The film Varisu opening sequences felt like Santhosh Subramaniam.
Yes!!! Rajendran was a businessman and he had a great voice among the richest
people.
Rajendran’s younger son Vijay had a dispute with his father
and he was living alone for 7 years. Rajendran believed that his elder son Jai
and Ajay were the treasure sons to take charge of the business. At a stage, the
family doctor Prabhu diagnosed Rajendran facing with advanced-stage pancreatic
cancer. As the wife’s wish Rajendran decided to celebrate their 60th marriage.
Even, Vijay is returning back to fulfill his mother’s wish. The function
collapsed by the family scenarios, and Vijay stayed with his family members with
the understanding and acceptance of everyone’s flaws and how Vijay resolved everybody’s
situations in the Varisu movie screenplay.
The director Vamshi Paidipally is convincing with action,
emotions, sentiments, comedy, romance, and message. Vijay with appearances and
dialogues was graceful, and he had upgraded with the previous movie’s dialogues
Mama Kutty and imitate Redin Kingsley and made atrocious with Yogi Babu. Prabhu
nowadays became an optional actor and Sarathkumar had a strong eccentric in
this film.
Divya (Rashmika Mandanna), though had minimal screen
presence, was very graceful, especially the dancing parts with Vijay were
outstanding. Music by Thaman S was splendid in matching all the emotions. The
cinematography by Karthik Palani is to be mentioned, the film had excellent
picturization.
Varasu is an ordinary family story, Vijay with exemplary
acting, bringing back the vintage Vijay to us in Screens giving a Pongal feast
to all Vijay fans out there.
