Soppana Sundari Movie Review:
Aishwarya Rajesh’s “The
Great Indian Kitchen” reaches gradual success and her upcoming project is
“Soppana Sundari” releases on Tamil New Year, April 14th. The title makes some
expectations of hilarious based story narration. Of course, comedies are stuffed
unfortunately disappointed with the comedy portions. Yes! “Karakattakkaran”
released in the year of 1989, is still the car sequence of Goundamani and
Senthil Comedy making it fresh and entertaining. Hope the director S. G.
Charles takes the film “Karakattakaran” car scene as his film “Soppana Sundari”
full-fledged comedy show.
“Soppana Sundari” is no
doubt car-based script, Agalya (Aishwarya Rajesh) and her family members were
surviving in a slum area and leads decent life. Even, Agalya’s brother Durai (Karunakaran)
never bothers about family and gets married to Danger Mama’s (Mime Gopi)
sister. Uttermost Durai is separated from the family, on another side Agalya’s
sister Thenmozhi is dumb, and her father is bedridden, in this scenario, Agalya
is getting a bumper offer from a jewellery shop, with the surprise is an
unexpected gift a car. A piece of jewellery was purchased by Durai for his
known person and the bumper ticket was filled by Agalya. Who is going to keep
the car!!! is the film “Soppana Sundari”
In the film “Kaaka
Muttai” the normal middle-class lifestyle is causal to the artist Aishwarya
Rajesh and her appearance and body language suit the common people’s struggles,
not much more costumes and normal getup fit to her. In parallel, Lakshmi Priyaa
has given adequate performances to her eccentric, Durai’s negative character
coincides with the actor Karunakaran, Deepa Akka’s performances upgrading in each
movie, Redin Kingley’s comical portions are less and distressing, not but not
least Mime Gopi’s role was cunning and anomalous.
The director S. G.
Charles tried out for a good comedy film but the reckoning brings it down. It
is almost, to the climax the trio of ladies was fighting with a cop and it was
natural the credit goes to the stunt people Michael Miracle, Don Ashok &
Ramkumar. The music was composed by Ajmal Tahseen and the BGM of the film
Vishal Chandrashekhar was quite satisfactory.
