Azhagiya Kanne Movie Review:
Leo Sivakumar, a resident of Dindigul district, has a deep aspiration to
become a director in the world of cinema. Living in the same neighborhood,
Sanjita Shetty, a talented individual who conducts Pratati plays in the town,
finds herself falling in love with Leo. Their paths intertwine, and they embark
on a journey together. However, their relationship faces obstacles as Leo
secures a position as an assistant director under the renowned filmmaker Prabhu
Salomon and Sanjita relocates to Chennai for work.
In the midst of protests and societal pressures, Leo and Sanjita decide
to take the leap and get married. Their union is blessed with the arrival of a
child. Nevertheless, as Leo strives to make his mark in the film industry,
Sanjita finds herself unable to devote ample time to their child due to
familial circumstances. The couple grapples with the challenges of balancing
their personal dreams and family responsibilities, leading to a strain in their
relationship.
The film 'Azhagiya Kanne'
beautifully captures this poignant story through thought-provoking scenes. With
the compelling music composed by NR Raghunandhan, the songs become an instant
hit among the audience. The film's background score and cinematography
skillfully complement the narrative, enhancing the emotional impact of each
scene. However, despite these technical achievements, the film fails to garner
widespread acclaim due to its familiar screenplay, which prevents it from fully
showcasing the depth and complexity of its characters and their journey.
As the story unfolds, the audience is left wondering whether Leo
Sivakumar fulfills his dream of becoming a director as he had hoped. Similarly,
it remains uncertain if Sanjita's longing for a fulfilling family life is ever
realized. 'Azhagiya Kanne' serves as a reminder of the intricate
choices and sacrifices individuals must make when faced with the pursuit of
personal ambition and the weight of family responsibilities. While the film's
technical aspects impress, the lack of a unique screenplay hinders its
potential to resonate deeply with viewers, ultimately overshadowing the
remarkable performances and the underlying beauty of the story it seeks to
convey.
