Kezhapaya Movie Review:
The film Kezhapaya was directed by Yazh
Gunasekaran, the central plot revolves around a group of four people who are
transporting a pregnant woman in a car. Their journey takes an unexpected turn
when they encounter an elderly man riding a bicycle who refuses to yield to
their car. Despite their attempts to get him to move aside, including honking
and engaging in a physical altercation, the old man remains steadfast and
continues cycling, creating a tense and mysterious atmosphere.
The film showcases the incredible performance of Kathiresa
Kumar, who braved challenging conditions, likely in the middle of a forest and
under the scorching sun, to deliver a remarkable portrayal. His dedication to
the role is commendable, adding depth to the storyline and characters.
Cinematographer Ajith Kumar's work in the film has received
mixed reviews. While some aspects of the cinematography have been praised for
their quality, there are suggestions that more attention could have been paid
to certain scenes. This suggests that the visuals of the film play a
significant role in conveying the narrative and emotions of the characters.
Kebi's musical composition in the film is noteworthy,
particularly the background score. Kebi skillfully utilizes music to create
unique atmospheres throughout the film. In moments requiring silence, the
composer successfully employs this absence of sound to enhance the overall
viewing experience. The soundtrack is integral to the storytelling,
adding depth and emotion to the narrative.
Yazh Gunasekaran promises a
captivating story that delves into why the old man refuses to
yield to the car. With a focus on non-verbal communication and tense
encounters, it promises to be an intriguing cinematic experience. The
combination of Kathiresa Kumar's dedicated performance, Ajith Kumar's
cinematography, and Kebi's unique musical score sets the stage for a memorable
film that explores human behavior and the mysteries of a seemingly simple yet
complex situation.
