 Mystery of The Tattoo Movie Review: 

The film "Mystery of the Tattoo" unfolds its story two decades after the murder of Chitra Devi. Daisy Shah, portraying the character Atmika, has taken up painting as her pursuit. Her life takes a drastic turn when she becomes embroiled in a murder case, where the police seek her assistance in solving another homicide. These murders seem connected, primarily due to a distinctive tattoo on the victim's hand. To further complicate matters, there have been attempts on Atmika's life, and intriguingly, the person who has come to her rescue on two occasions also bears a similar tattoo. All signs point to a connection with the Chitra Devi murder case, and the mystery of the mastermind behind these crimes looms large throughout the film.

The central theme of the film hinges on the enigmatic link between these tattoos and the murders. However, the logic behind this connection is left unexplained in the story. Despite being marketed as a suspense thriller, the film disappoints as it fails to generate any significant suspense or thrill throughout its duration. Kalairasi Sathappan, the film's writer, has woven a narrative that ultimately leaves the audience questioning its purpose, as it appears to exist merely for the sake of making a film. The direction, shared by Kalairasi Sathappan and Ganesh Mahadevan, lacks mutual coordination, resulting in scenes that come across as poorly executed.

Typically, background music plays a pivotal role in enhancing the atmosphere of suspense thrillers, but in this case, it fails to be utilized effectively. It becomes apparent that the film may have been produced with the aim of securing subsidies, as it was shot in London. However, the film suffers due to the less-than-impressive English proficiency of the local actors. Even in the Hindi dialogues, there's a dearth of impactful lines that could have left a lasting impression. The music by Abhinav Shekhar, L.K. Vijay Kumar's cinematography, and Jerome Allen's editing are all described as mediocre, further contributing to the film's overall lackluster quality.

Daisy Shah returns to the big screen after a hiatus of five years with "Mystery of the Tattoo." Unfortunately, her performance lacks the freshness and vigor one would hope for. Rohit Raj, making his debut in Hindi cinema, fails to exude the enthusiasm and dedication required for a successful launch. Ameesha Patel and Arjun Rampal, with their special roles, don't manage to stand out, although they do put in some effort. Manoj Joshi and Myra Sareen deliver decent performances given their roles.
