Margazhi Thingal Movie Review:
The story centers around a mature old man named Ramaiyaa and his granddaughter,
Kavitha, who live in a village. Kavitha was the top student in her class until
a new student named Vinoth joined their 9th-grade class. Over time, Kavitha and
Vinoth fell in love, and they decided to inform their grandfather about their
relationship. Ramaiyaa, however, calmly decided to take matters into his own
hands and plotted to kill Vinoth by using his lower caste as a reason.
Kavitha eventually discovered Vinoth's disappearance and learned about her
grandfather's involvement in this sinister plan. Her reaction to this
revelation would likely be a tumultuous mix of emotions, including shock,
anger, heartbreak, and a deep sense of betrayal. She may be torn between her love
for Vinoth and her loyalty to her family, prompting her to take action to seek
justice, confront her grandfather, or collapse herself from her family.
The movie "Alaigal Oivathillai" directed by Bharathiraja, the film
seems to have drawn inspiration from a similar theme. The movie features new
faces, Shayam Selvan and Malavika, who deliver mature performances. The
presence of Suseenthiran as a villain adds depth to the film's narrative.
Additionally, the music, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, provides a fitting backdrop
to the story, adding to the overall cinematic experience. It's worth noting
that while the film may follow a well-established formula, it introduces fresh
faces and elements to engage the audience.
