Mathimaran Movie Review:
The film's narrative centers around Venkat Senguttuvan, a hero with developmental challenges, who resiliently faces societal taunts while unraveling a criminal mystery that has eluded the police. In the backdrop of Chennai, a series of brutal crimes involving rape and murder of women at home unfolds. Despite the police keeping the case under wraps, Venkat, arriving from Tirunelveli in search of his missing sister, joins forces with his college friend, Police Sub-Inspector Prabhavathi. Together, they embark on a quest to find a missing girl, setting the stage for a suspenseful and engaging storyline.
The protagonist, portrayed by Venkat Senguttuvan, delivers a noteworthy and emotionally charged performance, showcasing maturity and adept handling of his character's developmental disability. Aaradhya, playing Venkat's college friend and a police sub-inspector, captivates audiences with both her beauty and measured acting. MS Bhaskar, in the role of Venkat's father, adds depth to the narrative with his natural and compelling performance. Supporting actors, including Adukalam Naren, Bhava Chelaturai, Sudarshan Govind, and Praveen Kumar, contribute to the film's strength by seamlessly fitting into their roles and enhancing the overall screenplay.
The film is further enriched by the musical composition of Karthik Raja, whose music elevates the cinematic experience, adding another layer of quality to the production. The storyline unfolds as Venkat, driven by a desire to find his missing sister, becomes entwined in the investigation of the mysterious murders plaguing Chennai. As the plot thickens, the audience is led through a series of twists and turns, ultimately providing answers to questions surrounding the criminal background, the missing girl, and the fate of Venkat's sister.
