Rooban Movie Review:
"Rooban," directed and written by Ayyappan. S, stars Vijay Prasath and Gayathri Rema, supported by Charlie and Ramar. It unfolds in a village surrounded by thick forests, where a couple faces social isolation due to their inability to conceive. Their lives take a turn when they adopt an abandoned baby, coinciding with the arrival of a threatening tiger, which the villagers blame on the couple.
Forest officers mediate to capture the tiger, imposing restrictions on the villagers' movements. Despite the chaos, some villagers are determined to visit a temple dedicated to Lord Ayyappan, despite the dangers posed by the tiger.
Tragedy strikes when four villagers are found dead under mysterious circumstances in the forest, fueling suspicion towards Shamugam (Vijay Prasath). Matters worse when the couple's son ventures into the forest to confront the tiger, angering the villagers further.
As the villagers and forest officers collaborate to resolve the crisis, they strive to restore peace and uncover the truth behind the deaths. Through their trials, they learn the value of unity and mutual support in overcoming challenges.
"Rooban" underscores the perils of superstition and misunderstandings within communities, while also highlighting the flexibility of people when faced with adversity. Although not focused on spiritual themes, the film ends with a poignant devotional song and the appearance of Ayyappan riding a tiger, advocating for goodwill among humanity. Vijay Prasath's powerful portrayal and Aravind Babu's music enhance the narrative, ensuring that "Rooban" effectively communicates its message to the audience.
