Mr and Mrs Mahi Movie Review:

Mr and Mrs Mahi Movie Review:

The film follows the journey of Mahendra (Rajkummar Rao) and Mahima (Janhvi Kapoor), affectionately known as "Mahi" due to their shared love for cricket. Despite their initial passion for the sport, life's circumstances lead them down different paths. Mahendra dreams of becoming a cricketer but is unable to achieve his goal, while Mahima, adhering to her parents' wishes, becomes a doctor.

Their lives intersect again, leading to a marriage based on mutual understanding and shared aspirations. Encouraged by Mahima, Mahendra decides to revive his cricket career. However, he struggles to regain his former form. To his surprise, Mahima, despite her medical profession, excels in cricket, hitting impressive sixes.

Recognizing her potential, Mahendra shifts his focus from his own cricket dreams to coaching Mahima, helping her secure a place on the state team. As Mahima's success grows, Mahendra's insecurities begin to surface. He feels overshadowed by his wife's achievements, creating tension and uncertainty about their future together.

The strain on their relationship intensifies as Mahendra grapples with feelings of inadequacy. The dynamic between them becomes increasingly fraught as Mahima's fame continues to rise while Mahendra remains stagnant. This conflict forms the crux of the narrative, driving the story forward and leaving viewers wondering how their lives will ultimately unfold.

Rajkummar Rao delivers a commendable performance, but Janhvi Kapoor's portrayal of Mahima falls short, with limited emotional range and repetitive expressions. Her performance lacks the depth required for a character aspiring to be a cricketer, indicating a need for more practice and preparation. The film needs more predictability and a lackluster storyline. Director Sharan Sharma needs to generate genuine interest or excitement, with weak dialogues and unconvincing cricket sequences that detract from the overall experience.
