Review - Haunted Frames
Jeeva, a passionate art
director in the film industry, faces a major setback when his debut project
fails. The elaborate film set he painstakingly designed
goes to waste, leaving him disheartened. However, his friend, played by Raashii
Khanna, suggests a unique solution—transforming the abandoned set into a
haunted house attraction. Determined to turn his misfortune around, Jeeva
embraces the idea, setting the stage for an eerie and thrilling venture.
As the haunted house
opens for business, a series of unexplained and supernatural events unfold. What initially seemed like a clever business strategy soon turns into a
terrifying ordeal, with guests and employees experiencing chilling encounters.
The gripping narrative takes a suspenseful turn when Jeeva stumbles upon an old
film reel hidden within the set. To his shock, the reel features Arjun Sarja
portraying a psychic, hinting at a deeper and more sinister mystery tied to the
haunted house.
Directed and written by
Pa. Vijay, the film seamlessly blends horror and suspense, keeping the audience
engaged throughout its 136-minute runtime. Jiiva delivers a compelling
performance as the struggling yet determined art director, effectively capturing
his character’s journey from failure to facing the unknown. Raashii Khanna adds
charm and wit to the storyline, making a strong impact with her presence. Arjun
Sarja, with his commanding screen presence, elevates the tension with his
intriguing portrayal of a psychic.
The film’s technical
aspects further enhance its immersive horror experience. Deepak Kumar Padhy’s
cinematography beautifully captures the eerie atmosphere, using shadows and
lighting to intensify the fear factor. San Lokesh’s sharp editing ensures a seamless
flow between suspenseful moments and jump scares. Complementing the haunting
visuals, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score adds an extra layer of depth,
heightening the tension and amplifying the emotional beats of the story.
Produced by Ishari K.
Ganesh and Aneesh Arjun Dev under the banners of Vels Film International and
Wam India, the film is set for a grand theatrical release on February 28, 2025.
Distributed by PVR Inox Pictures, this horror-thriller promises to be an edge-of-the-seat
experience for audiences. With a perfect blend of mystery, supernatural
elements, and strong performances, this film is a must-watch for fans of the
genre.
