Director Thambidurai Mariyappan presents an emotionally gripping story that revolves around the struggles of two couples and their journey through love, loss, and longing for parenthood. Vivek Prasanna and Chandini play a married couple who, despite years of trying, remain childless, leading them into deep emotional distress. After multiple failed treatments, Vivek Prasanna turns to a private fertility center, and soon, Chandini miraculously conceives. Meanwhile, a parallel love story unfolds between Pradosh and Poornima, the daughter of an auto driver, Marimuthu. Initially reluctant, Poornima eventually reciprocates Pradosh's love, resulting in an unexpected pregnancy. As these two seemingly separate narratives intertwine, the film explores the deep emotions surrounding parenthood and fate.

Vivek Prasanna once again delivers a powerful performance, authentically portraying the pain and desperation of a man longing for a child. Chandini complements him beautifully, capturing the raw emotions of a woman who finally experiences the joy of motherhood. Anand makes a strong impression with his intense acting in a pivotal moment, while Poornima Ravi, known for her vibrant screen presence, adds layers to her character with a performance that oscillates between liveliness and depth. Pradosh surprises the audience with his character arc, transitioning from a carefree lover to a person caught in emotional turmoil.

The supporting cast, including Marimuthu and Rama, contributes significantly to the film’s emotional depth. However, the comedic elements, though intended to provide relief, at times feel excessive and could have been toned down. The film subtly conveys a strong social message—rather than spending exorbitant amounts on fertility treatments, many childless couples could find fulfillment by providing love and care to orphans in ashrams. This thought-provoking message is seamlessly woven into the screenplay, making the second half especially impactful.

From a technical standpoint, RS Rajpratap’s background score effectively enhances the emotional weight of the film, complementing the dramatic moments without overpowering them. Ajith Srinivasan’s cinematography brings warmth and depth to the narrative, capturing the essence of both the characters’ struggles and their intimate moments with stunning visuals. The director deserves appreciation for crafting a screenplay that balances drama, romance, and a socially relevant theme with a realistic approach.

Despite minor flaws in pacing and an occasional overindulgence in humor, the film stands strong due to its emotional depth and compelling performances. Thambidurai Mariyappan delivers a heartfelt drama that resonates with audiences, shedding light on the struggles of couples dealing with infertility while intertwining it with a touching love story. With its thought-provoking message and earnest performances, this film is a commendable addition to Tamil cinema.
