Directed, written, and produced by Arumuga Kumar, the latest Tamil feature film, ACE, marks an engaging cinematic experience released on 23 May 2025. Produced under the banner of 7Cs Entertainment, the film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Rukmini Vasanth in lead roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Malaysia, the film presents a compelling mix of drama, romance, and light-hearted humor, delivering a runtime of 154 minutes that keeps the audience thoroughly entertained.

 


The story follows Vijay Sethupathi, who arrives in Malaysia, leaving behind a mysterious past. Seeking a fresh start, he befriends Yogi Babu, who helps him secure employment at a hotel run by Kalpana. As he begins to settle into his new life, he crosses paths with Rukmini, the female lead. Their relationship begins on a rocky note but gradually blossoms into a touching romance, bringing warmth and emotional depth to the narrative.

 


As their bond strengthens, Vijay Sethupathi discovers Rukmini’s personal struggle, her fight to reclaim her ancestral home from her stepfather, a battle that demands a significant financial sum. This emotional twist adds a layer of gravitas to the story, as the characters face moral and practical dilemmas, making the film both relatable and thought-provoking.

 


Vijay Sethupathi delivers a nuanced performance, effortlessly portraying a man torn between his past and present. His screen presence and emotional range enrich the storytelling.
