Jinn – The Pet Movie Review: Shakti’s Return Turns Supernatural in ‘Jinn the Pet’
Jinn - The Pet, Mugen Rao stars as Shakti,
a man returning to his homeland after living abroad. His homecoming takes an
eerie turn when he brings back a mysterious magic box containing jinn. Shakti,
convinced that the jinn is a bearer of good fortune, treats it like a pet, especially
amused by its fondness for biscuits. He even regards it as a symbol of luck,
likening it to his personal zodiac sign.
Initially, the jinn seems harmless, and
Shakti’s family tolerates its presence, albeit with mild unease. But strange,
unexplainable events soon begin to plague the household. Misfortunes pile up,
and the once-charming presence of the jinn starts to take a sinister form. Fear
begins to spread among the family members as the supernatural occurrences
escalate.
The tension reaches a peak when Shakti's
beloved wife, Priya (played by Bhavya Trikha), is found bleeding under
mysterious circumstances. The horrifying incident throws the entire family into
turmoil. Suspicions quickly point toward the jinn as the culprit behind the
attempted murder. But is the jinn truly to blame, or is there a darker, hidden
truth yet to be discovered?
Directed and written by T.R. Bala, Jinn
the Bed is a psychological horror thriller that delves into belief, fear, and
the unknown. Bala’s narrative style blends suspense with emotional complexity,
keeping viewers guessing until the final moments. The film is produced by T.R.

Tale Pictures and AR Touring Talkies. The film released on 30 May 2025.
Mugen Rao delivers a compelling
performance, convincingly portraying a man torn between belief and reality.

film’s intense sequences. Technically, Jinn the Bed stands strong, Arjun Raja's
