26 May 2025 – The Fly & Ride Cycle Event 2025: Malaysia & Thailand Edition, organized by Dayasakti Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, and Tourism Malaysia Chennai, supported by Just Buy Cycles, concluded with resounding success on 23 May 2025. This extraordinary event, held under the banner of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY 2026), brought together 30 passionate cyclists from South India for a 200-kilometer journey across the scenic landscapes of Malaysia and Thailand.
The event
was led by Mr. Hishamuddin Mustafa, Director of Tourism Malaysia Chennai
(South India & Sri Lanka), alongside Dato’ Chandran Suppiah,
Director of Dayasakti Travel & Tours. Participants experienced the perfect
blend of adventure, culture, and camaraderie, cycling through stunning locales
and building bridges across borders.
Event Highlights
- Heritage Ride in Penang
Participants began their journey with a 20-kilometer heritage ride in Penang, exploring the city's rich cultural landmarks, followed by a ferry ride to the mainland. - Thai Ride in Songkhla &
Hatyai
The journey continued to Dannok, Songkhla, and Hatyai, Thailand, where cyclists enjoyed scenic coastal rides and the warm hospitality of the local communities. - Cross-Border Cycling from
Thailand to Malaysia
A cross-border ride from Hatyai to Padang Besar showcased the seamless integration of two countries’ tourism efforts, with participants cycling into Arau, Kangar, before continuing via train to Ipoh. - Cycling Adventures in Ipoh
& Kuala Lumpur
The event concluded with city rides through Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur, a visit to Batu Caves, and a memorable cultural dinner at Saloma Bistro under the iconic KLCC Twin Towers.

The
success of the event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of key
partners:
- Penang Global Tourism hosted a delightful lunch
at Gem Restaurant and coordinated the Penang segment.
- KTM Berhad provided scenic train rides
from Butterworth to Ipoh, adding an unforgettable dimension to the
journey.
- Amazing Thailand extended its support for
the Thailand portion of the event, facilitating a seamless cross-border
experience.
The event
also emphasized sustainable travel with bicycle transport and mechanical
support provided by Transvel, ensuring a smooth and eco-friendly
journey.
