Aan Paavam Pollathathu Tamil Movie Review:
Director Kalaiyarasan Thangavel presents a
realistic take on modern-day marriage and the challenges faced by young
couples. The film revolves around Rio Raj and Malavika Manoj, who play Shiva
and Shakthi, a newly married couple with contrasting personalities. Shiva works
in the IT sector, while Shakthi is portrayed as a modern, progressive woman.
The story begins on a happy note but soon dives into the cracks that appear
within a few months of marriage, leading them to the brink of divorce.
When the couple approaches the court to
finalize their separation, unexpected moments unfold, shaping the heart of the
film. The courtroom scenes are filled with both emotion and humor, as the
characters confront their misunderstandings and realize the true meaning of
companionship. Director Kalaiyarasan deserves credit for treating a sensitive
topic like divorce with a balanced mix of realism and light-hearted moments,
making it relatable to today’s generation.
Rio Raj delivers a neat performance as
Shiva, convincingly portraying a husband caught between love and ego. His
expressions and comic timing work well in emotional as well as lighter scenes.
Malavika Manoj shines as Shakthi, bringing depth to her role with natural
acting and strong screen presence. Their chemistry feels genuine, and it’s
their performances that keep the audience emotionally connected throughout the
film.
Supporting actors RJ Vigneshkanth and
Sheela, as the advocates, add flavor to the narrative. Vigneshkanth’s humor
brings relief during tense sequences, while Sheela plays her part with dignity
and grace. Their interactions in the courtroom sequences are enjoyable and
well-written, making the film engaging without losing focus on the main plot.
On the technical side, Siddhu Kumar’s
music complements the film beautifully, enhancing the emotional tone of each
scene. Madhesh Manickam’s cinematography gives the film a fresh and natural
look, while the editing is crisp and maintains a smooth flow. Overall,
Kalaiyarasan Thangavel’s direction, combined with honest performances and
strong technical support, makes this film a thoughtful and relatable watch
about love, marriage, and understanding.
