Indian Penal Law (IPL) Tamil Movie Review:

Indian Penal Law (IPL), written and directed by Karunanithi, is a crime-based drama produced by G.R. Madhan Krishnan under Radha Film International. With music by Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy, the film brings together a strong cast including Kishore, TTF Vasan, Abhirami, Kushitha Kallapu, Naren, Dhileepan, John Vijay, Bose Venkat, and Singampuli. The story aims to show how an innocent man becomes trapped in a legal and political web.

The plot centres on Gunasekaran, played by Kishore, who is portrayed as a simple and responsible family man. To make his wife happy and to become independent, he buys a new car. But life takes a turn when Gunasekaran meets with an accident. In need of money, he temporarily gives his car to a travel agency. Without his knowledge, the car becomes involved in a political operation connected to the Chief Minister, played by Naren.

This situation pulls Gunasekaran into unexpected trouble. Muthukaruppan, a police officer played by Bose Venkat, twists the case and frames Gunasekaran as if he is directly involved in the crime. The story then moves into how and why the cop is deliberately targeting an innocent man. The film also follows Gunasekaran’s sister Kanimozhi (Kushitha Kallapu), who falls in love with Anbu, played by TTF Vasan, adding a personal layer to the story.

Kishore delivers a strong performance, perfectly fitting the role of a helpless but determined common man. TTF Vasan gets a decent character arc, and his scenes work well. Abhirami adds emotional depth as Vasanthi, while Kushitha Kallapu brings freshness as Kanimozhi. Naren plays the Chief Minister’s part with intensity, and Bose Venkat effectively carries the negative shade as the cop misusing his power. John Vijay and Dhileepan provide solid support in their roles.

Technically, the film has a straightforward presentation. Ashwin Vinayagamoorthy’s music supports the emotional tone, while the direction keeps the narration simple and easy to follow. The screenplay focuses mainly on how a law-abiding citizen becomes a victim of political pressure and police manipulation. Overall, Indian Penal Law (IPL) tries to highlight system-based injustice through a relatable and grounded storyline, making it an engaging watch for audiences who prefer realistic dramas.
