Couple Friendly is written and directed by Ashwin
Chandrasekar and produced by Ajay Kumar Raju P under the banner of VR Global
Media. The music is composed by Aditya Ravindran. The film focuses on modern
relationships, career dreams, and the emotional challenges faced by young
couples living together.
The story follows Shiva, played by Santosh Sobhan, an
interior designer who travels to Chennai with big career dreams. He struggles
to establish himself in a competitive field and faces many professional
challenges. During this phase of his life, he falls in love with Mithra,
portrayed by Manasa Varanasi. Their relationship soon develops into a live-in
arrangement, reflecting the lifestyle choices of today’s generation.
As the story progresses, Shiva’s career takes a different
turn, creating stress and uncertainty in his life. At the same time, Mithra
decides to pursue a career in the IT field. Their personal goals and ambitions
slowly lead to misunderstandings and ego clashes. What begins as a loving
relationship gradually becomes emotionally complicated.
The film highlights how ego and career pressure can affect a
relationship. Things become even more serious when Mithra faces health issues
during this difficult period. The emotional tension increases as the couple
must decide whether love is strong enough to overcome their differences and
challenges.
Santosh Sobhan delivers a natural performance as Shiva,
portraying both ambition and emotional struggle with ease. Manasa Varanasi
performs confidently as Mithra and expresses her character’s strength and
vulnerability well. The supporting cast, including Rajeev Kanakala, Goparaju
Ramana, J. Livingston, Yogi Babu, Sriranjani, Anjali Nair, Sunil Reddy,
Narasimha, Bhargav Ram, Vijay Vallabhaneni, and Pramodini, provide solid
support to the narrative. Yogi Babu adds light moments of humor that balance
the emotional tone.
Director Ashwin Chandrasekar presents the story in a simple
and relatable way. The screenplay focuses on realistic situations faced by
young couples today. Aditya Ravindran’s music supports the emotional scenes
without overpowering them. Overall, Couple Friendly is a relationship drama
that talks about love, ambition, ego, and understanding in modern life, making
it relatable for today’s audience.
