Kadhal Reset Repeat Tamil Movie Review: A Romantic Mystery
About Memory Loss
Kadhal Reset Repeat is directed by A. L. Vijay and written by A. Mahadev, along with Vijay. The screenplay is handled by A. Mahadev, while the dialogues are penned by director Vijay. The film is produced by Sunny Denvi under Denvi Productions and D Studios, with Prabha Premkumar serving as the co-producer. The film brings together a talented team of technicians and a cast that includes Siddharth, Jiya Shankar, Arjun Ashokan, and M. S. Bhaskar.
The technical team also adds strength to the film. The music is composed by
Harris Jayaraj, while the cinematography is handled by Arvind Krishna. Editing
is done by Anthony. The songs feature lyrics written by Vairamuthu, Madhan
Karky, and Arcus Aryan. With this experienced technical team, the film attempts
to present a romantic and emotional story with a unique concept.
The story revolves around Aditi, played by Jiya Shankar. She is an ambitious
young woman who dreams of becoming a successful singer. From her childhood, an invisible young boy has always been around her, protecting and
caring for her with unconditional love. This mysterious presence slowly becomes
an important emotional element in her life as she grows up.
As Aditi becomes an adult, she decides to follow her dream of music. Without
informing her wealthy father, she travels to Scotland with her lover Arri,
played by Arjun Ashokan. She believes that this journey will help her build a
new life and allow her to become a successful singer.
However, Aditi’s life takes a painful turn when Arri betrays her. Instead of
supporting her dream, he chooses another girl as a singer and moves away from
Aditi. This betrayal deeply affects her emotionally, and in a moment of despair, she decides to end her life.
During this tragic moment, Aditi falls from a height and survives the accident,
but she loses her memory. After the incident, she is unable to remember
anything about her past and can only remember the present day. This condition
creates confusion and uncertainty in her life, forcing her to live each day
without knowing her own history.
As time passes, two men appear in Aditi’s life with different versions of her
past. One of them claims that he has loved and protected her since childhood.
This creates a strong mystery in the story, as Aditi struggles to decide whom
she can trust when her own memory keeps resetting.
In terms of performances, Jiya Shankar carries the film with a sincere and
emotional portrayal of Aditi. Siddharth delivers a calm and mature performance
as Madumkesh, adding depth to the narrative. Arjun Ashokan effectively portrays
the negative shades of his character, while M. S. Bhaskar provides solid
support with his experienced acting. Technically, Harris Jayaraj’s music and
background score enhance the emotional mood of the film, and the song Un
Paarvai stands out with its pleasant tune and meaningful lyrics. Arvind
Krishna’s cinematography captures the visuals neatly, especially the scenes set
in foreign locations, while editor Anthony keeps the film moving at a steady
pace. Overall, Kadhal Reset Repeat presents a romantic mystery about memory,
trust, and love, though its storytelling style reminds viewers of a familiar
cinematic pattern.
