Vengeance Tamil Movie Review: A Strong Political Drama About
a Fearless Woman
Vengeance is a political drama written and directed by Rahul
Ashok. The film presents a strong story centered on power, politics, and
personal struggle. The narrative follows the journey of Veni, played by
Abarnathi, who rises to the powerful position of District Collector despite
facing many challenges in her life. Her past remains mysterious, but her
determination and courage help her overcome many obstacles.
The story focuses on how Veni transforms into a strong and
determined woman. After becoming a Collector, she begins to take bold decisions
in her administrative role. Her actions often bring her into conflict with
powerful political leaders. The film shows how she stands firm even when she
faces pressure from influential figures in the political system.
Ilavarasu appears as the Chief Minister Velu, while John
Vijay plays the Home Minister Madhav. Their characters represent the political
power structure that challenges Veni’s decisions. Meanwhile, Kaali Venkat plays
Shanmugam, the Chief Minister’s driver, adding a realistic supporting presence
in the story.
As the story progresses, Veni’s actions begin to affect the
political environment around her. She must deal with interference from powerful
leaders, especially the Home Minister. Each challenge strengthens her
determination and pushes her further into a difficult and sometimes ruthless
path as she fights for justice and integrity in her position.
From a performance perspective, Abarnathi delivers a
convincing performance as a determined Collector and carries the film with
confidence. Ilavarasu and John Vijay bring strong screen presence with their
political roles, while Kaali Venkat provides solid support. The music composed
by Karthik Raja supports the intense mood of the film. Produced by A. P. Ashok
Kumar, Vengeance attempts to present a story about courage, power, and the
challenges faced by a woman standing against political pressure.
