Acclaimed filmmaker and poet Seenu Ramasamy’s new book titled Cinemavin Aanma (Siraargal Cinema Rasanai Kalvi) was released today in a simple ceremony held at MGR’s Ramapuram residence in Chennai, where the late leader had lived, and near the MGR School for the Hearing Impaired.

The book was formally unveiled by Mr. Rajendran, former Corporation Administrative Manager who had the privilege of receiving the direct affection of Puratchi Thalaivar M.G. Ramachandran (MGR). The first copy of the book was received by its publisher, ‘Sandhiya’ Natarajan.

Recognising the significance of the book, Honourable Union Minister of State Mr. L. Murugan had earlier assured support for translating it into 24 Indian languages on behalf of the Government of India, enabling its message and relevance to reach readers across the country.

Sharing his thoughts on the book release, filmmaker and poet Seenu Ramasamy said: “Cinema appreciation education is extremely essential for the intellectual enrichment of children. If we introduce them to the finest films of the world during their school years, it can bring about many meaningful transformations within every child’s inner world. Through this book, it gives me immense happiness to witness a growing awareness among children and the general public in Tamil Nadu regarding cinema appreciation.”
