Makkal Thalaiva is a political drama featuring Ravi Mariya in the lead role as Tamilkudimagan. As the title suggests, the film revolves around politics, power, and the connection between political leaders and the public. Released shortly after the 2026 election season, the movie presents a satirical look at modern political culture and election-time promises that often influence voters.

Written and directed by Ramdev, the film continues his tradition of delivering social awareness messages through commercial cinema. This time, he focuses on political awareness, exploring how political values have changed over the years and how public opinion can be shaped through promises and campaigns. The story balances entertainment with relevant social commentary.

Radharavi plays the influential political leader Pachamuthu Palanimanikkam, popularly known as PP. His character serves as a mentor to Tamilkudimagan and helps him launch a new political party. As Tamilkudimagan enters politics, he gradually learns about the opportunities, challenges, strategies, and unexpected twists that come with political life.

The film humorously showcases how political parties attract voters through promises and welfare schemes. Tamilkudimagan announces several attractive schemes that capture public attention despite being difficult to implement in reality.
