Ennai Vilai is a film that brings together emotion, social issues and an interesting crime story. The film is directed by Sajeev Pazhoor and presents a simple man caught in a serious situation that changes his life and affects his entire family. The story mainly focuses on how an innocent person struggles when he gets trapped in a system where truth is not easily accepted. The film also allows Karunas to show a different side of his acting.

Karunas has been part of many comedy films, emotional roles, and character-driven performances, but Ennai Vilai stands out as an important film in his career. The same officer secretly removes one of the gems and sells it for around ₹3 lakh, later sharing the money with his colleague. When Thavasi's wife realises that the gold object is actually valuable, she insists that it should be returned to the police station. This decision changes their lives completely.

The dishonest police officers then try to turn the situation against Thavasi and put the blame on him. As the investigation continues, the case becomes more complicated. It is discovered that the valuable object does not belong to the local temple deity as initially suspected. Thavasi is eventually sent to prison, while the investigation goes deeper and raises questions about the object's connection to an archaeological treasure and how it could have been taken and kept by an individual. The film uses this situation to show how an ordinary person can become helpless when caught in a complicated system.

The family then seeks the help of advocate Kanchana, played by Nimisha Sajayan. She enters the case with determination and takes the matter to court. Her character becomes an important part of Thavasi's fight for justice. The court proceedings bring another important point into focus, the issue is not simply about money. Thavasi's dignity and respect have also been damaged by the false allegations against him. The demand for proper compensation from the government gives the story an emotional and social angle. Nimisha Sajayan gives a strong and controlled performance as Kanchana, adding seriousness to the second half.

Director Sajeev Pazhoor handles the story around an innocent man's struggle against an unethical system and keeps the central emotion clear. Sam C S, who is among the trending music directors, provides the music for the film. His music is pleasant and natural and supports the mood of the story without becoming distracting. Overall, Ennai Vilai works mainly because of its simple but meaningful storyline, Karunas' natural performance, and the film's focus on justice, dignity, and the struggle of an ordinary family. It is a film that reminds us how difficult it can be for a common man to fight for the truth when the system itself stands against him.
