Ripupbury Movie Review: Where is horror?
“Ripupbury” is a combination of ghost and casteism
script, and the director Arun Karthik tried to give a comedy-based horror
film. “Ripupbury” prominent eccentrics are Master Mahendran, Arati
Podi, Kaavya Arivumani, and Maari. Caste discrimination films have seen in
distinctive story narration. Unfortunately, Ripupbury is peculiar to
visualizing. The team hasn’t focused on reality? Literally wondering, is no
logic. A ghost is revenging five men who are all casteism people.
Master Mahendran and his friends are Youtubers and
they get involved in queer ways of murders, which were done by a ghost. The
guys were sent by a cop to the place of Thalakkarai (Coimbatore) to
investigate ghost history. Simultaneously, the prime mover Sathyaraj (Master
Mahendran) keeps an affair with the ghost’s sister Kayal (She belongs to
another caste). “Ripupbury” casteist ghost is innocent or aggressive, did the
ghost accept their love?
Master Mahendran shows his childish performances in every
movie, he had grown up! other than looks good. A couple of heroines are
adequate in their roles. In this film, comedies are tried to convince the
audience. Only, Kayal’s one-side lover (He looks vintage guy) makes fun of his
portions, and the saint character creates fun. The music was composed by
Diwacara Thiyagarajan. Overall, need some patience to watch the film.
